Adjuster Guide for upcoming Storm Season

“Slightly above average” is the term used by the researcher from the Colorado State University regarding 2018 Storm Season. It is believed that minimum 14 storms will hit the land in due season. However, three of them would be considered as Catastrophic events. Therefore, it is always better to prepare for these events as much as possible.

Licensing

Licensing protocols can be implemented as an emergency due to these CAT events by some states. By acquiring license that is reciprocal in the state is the best way to deal with the claims in a state prone to storms. Residents of Colorado, the District of Columbia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin who want to become an Independent Claims Adjuster should obtain the Texas All Lines Adjuster License. You will enjoy the same benefits as a Texas reciprocity.

Maintenance of Vehicle

Can you roam around in different states with your car and covered for CAT events? Have you examined your tires? During storm season, it is always better to ensure safety and it is applicable to your vehicle as well. Following things related to the vehicle can checked before the storm season approaches.

Tools and Equipment Adjusters

Check your inspection equipment on timely basis. It is quite natural to encounter wear and tear in equipment over time. Proper measures of safety must be taken all the time.

Recent Contact Information

Updated information related to contact must be offered all the time. It may not be possible to deploy during a CAT events unless the authorities have your contact. So, you must provide current address, licensing information, availability and phone number.
