Adjuster Licensing

Claims Adjuster Academy – provider number 136474 – is an accredited training provider licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance.  Our experienced facilitators teach a full range of courses including Texas All-lines Pre-licensing course and exams, vendor continuing education programs and continuing education courses.  All courses and programs provide students with the knowledge and understanding needed to work as an adjuster, as well as access to other exciting and rewarding opportunities within the insurance profession.

Claims Adjuster Academy offers a convenient and cost-effective way to become an insurance adjuster. Our 40-hour online courses includes real-time teaching from an industry experienced instructors and follows the mandated structure set forth by the Texas Department of Insurance which consists of 10 hours of reading assignments with quizzes plus an online proctored 150-question final exam and score at least a 70% on the final exam.

The Texas Adjuster License is reciprocal in the following states:

Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming

Texas License Requirements

  • Be a United States citizen or legal alien who possesses a work authorization from the US Immigration and Naturalization Services.
  • Take a state certified Texas All-Lines Pre-Licensing Course and make at least a 70% on the final exam.
  • Send your application to the Texas Department of Insurance.

How do I get an insurance adjuster license in Texas? What information is required when I apply for the license?

  • Texas Adjuster Application Form FIN506; and
  • Applicable fees set by TDI; and
  • CAA Course completion certificate. (We will provide the certificate upon receipt of your signed and notarized proctor affidavit for your monitored final exam).
  • Copy of fingerprint receipt.

The expiration date for your license is changing to the last day of your birth month. You should see the new date online starting April 17, 2018. This does not affect continuing education credits or other requirements.
